Fume Extraction and Scrubbing Systems

CPS designs and manufactures advanced wet scrubbing systems for the effective abatement of corrosive fumes.

Our in-house engineering team manages every stage of your fume abatement project from initial concept and design through to installation and final commissioning ensuring a seamless, high-quality solution tailored to your specific needs.

Our Fume Scrubbing Technologies

We offer two primary types of wet scrubbers, each engineered for optimum performance in aggressive environments:

  • Traditional Packed Column Fume Scrubbers ideal for a wide range of gas flow rates and contaminant loads, offering efficient mass transfer through structured or random packing.
  • Turbulent Contact Fume Scrubbers designed to maximise gas-liquid interaction. These systems are effective for high-efficiency removal in compact footprints.

Materials and Fabrication

CPS scrubbers and associated extraction ductwork are custom-fabricated in a variety of corrosion-resistant thermoplastics, including:

  • High Density Polyethylene (PE)
  • Polypropylene (PP)

This flexibility ensures chemical compatibility, safety and long service life across diverse applications.

Heat Recovery Integration

Where applicable, thermoplastic gas-to-liquid heat exchangers can be incorporated into the inlet ductwork either to condense fume vapour before scrubbing or to function as part of a broader building heat recovery system, improving energy efficiency and sustainability.
